Clare Deanery Confirmations 2009

Bishop Clive with newly confirmed Elizabeth who clearly seems to like the mitre and crosier

Today saw the Clare Deanery celebrate the Confirmation and First Communion of 16 of its members. The service was held at St Mary the Virgin church, Haverhill and drew candidates from Haverhill, Stourhead, Suffolk Heights and Bansfield benefices all within the Clare Deanery. This year there were two candidates from the Bansfield Benefice. The Deanery was delighted to welcome Rt Revd Clive Young, Bishop of Dunwich who presided over the service in a packed church. It was a delightful and uplifting event which was greatly enjoyed by all.

Following the service Bishop Clive met with the newly confirmed and enjoyed a photo shoot with them and their families.

The Deanery thanks Revd Ian Finn, Rector of St Mary's, and his parishioners for hosting the confirmation service and for their hospitality throughout the event.
